Tube Walking
(with 'Static' External Rotation & Scapula Retraction)

-Attach Tubing to ankles and attach tubing around wrists.

-Your arms do not deviate from the position shown on the video. You should be 'pinching' your shoulder blades together, the entire exercise.

-Advance your right leg while maintaining a tall posture. Your left leg should come in slowly and not "snap" back. Maintain tension on band.

-Walk back to starting position.

Verbal Cue:
Maintain your nose over your naval throughout entire exercise.

Competency Criteria

-Client keeps hands in front of him/her and the distance between the hands remains constant.

-Client keeps shoulder blades pinched throughout exercise.

-Client maintains a tall posture and keeps tension on the band throughout exercise.

-Client doesn't sidebend to the left when advancing right leg to the right, or doesn't sidebend to the right when advancing left leg to the left.
