Tube Walking
(Lateral)
-Attach Tubing to ankles.
-Advance your right leg while maintaining a tall posture. Your left leg should come in slowly and not "snap" back. Maintain tension on band. Keep hands on hips.
-Maintain a tall posture and reisist any side bending of your torso while you advance your leg to the side (this requires core stability).
-Verbal Cue:
Maintain your nose over your naval throughout the exercise.
Warning: These bands are made of LATEX, so if you're allergic to LATEX, you need to find a band that is NOT made of latex.
Competency
Criteria
-Client maintains a tall posture.
-Client doesn't sidebend his/her torso when advancing leg.
-Client keeps tension on the band throughout the exercise.
